Why people are crucial to our corporate sustainability strategy

Without wanting to state the obvious, it is people that ensure the success of VRR. Not just our employees but also our customers, supply chain partners and collaborators. Even our local communities play an important part in our story. When the people we care about thrive, we thrive. That’s why we do our best to make them happy and keep them safe.

Main sustainability goals

  • Provide a safe and healthy work environment for all, physically and mentally
  • Make our employees feel valued and “at home” at VRR
  • Give back to our community and attract local talent

More specifically, we aim to have every year:

  • Zero safety incidents on our premises that result in physical injury
  • Zero product incidents that result in injury to handlers or threats to flight safety
  • Employee satisfaction of 8 or higher

Short-term sustainability goals

We’re a caring company with a good safety record, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t keep improving. So, throughout 2023, we’ll be researching and making plans for the following topics:

Long-term sustainability goals

We’re still working on the rest of the long-term goals, to be completely honest. But once we’ve done our research, we can shift our focus to more distant horizons. We’ll keep you posted.

Sustainbility reporting

We believe it’s important to be transparent about our sustainability progress. Since 2023 is “ground zero” for us, we’ll have a full report on all our efforts, successes, challenges and new goals by early 2024.
