Over ons
Wij zijn wereldleider in ontwerp, fabricage en onderhoud van luchtvrachtcontainers (ULD's).
Als een groeiend bedrijf produceren we voor diverse organisaties wereldwijd en staan we bekend om het vinden van innovatieve oplossingen voor de luchtvaartindustrie. De containers worden door onze eigen engineering afdeling ontworpen en getekend, als de klant tevreden is worden de benodigde materialen besteld en gaan onze technicians aan de slag.

De functie
Als technician assembleer je onze containers met behulp van duidelijke tekeningen. De collega’s van het magazijn zorgen dat je alle benodigde materialen voor het grijpen hebt, zodat je niet hoeft te zoeken naar materialen en gereedschap. Je bent onderdeel van een team en afhankelijk van het type container werk je soms alleen of met elkaar. Je begint de dag met een ‘dag start’ hier wordt de planning besproken en de zaken waar je de vorige dag tegen aan gelopen bent. Er is veel ruimte voor eigen inbreng. Zo proberen we bij VRR elke dag een beetje beter te worden in wat we doen, om uiteindelijk een kwalitatief hoogwaardige container op te leveren

Over jou

• Je houdt van techniek en vindt het leuk om dingen te assembleren
• Je kunt technische tekeningen lezen
• Je hebt minimaal een LBO diploma
• Je bent pro actief, wat inhoudt dat je zelf zaken oppakt en dat je het aangeeft als je een probleem signaleert
• Kwaliteit leveren vind je belangrijk
• Kennis van 5S en Lean methodes is een pré
• Je bent graag onderdeel van een team maar kan ook alleen werken als dat nodig is.

Waarom VRR
Bij VRR geven we om mensen, al meer dan 75 jaar. We willen graag dat onze medewerkers zich veilig, gewaardeerd, vitaal en gelukkig voelen. Vanzelfsprekend krijg je een goed salaris, 38 vrije dagen en een eindejaarsuitkering. … and where we are

VRR is based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands' second largest city and Europe's biggest port. Modern and youthful, with unique urbanism, eye-catching architecture and a cool nightlife, Rotterdam is at the heart of the shipping and trade industries. It’s also a great place to live and work.

Our headquarters, which are close to public transportation, include plenty of parking, a modern office and (yay!) great coffee. We also have a service and maintenance facility in Badhoevedorp, near Schiphol airport (but not sure if their coffee is better or not).

Step 1
You take the first step. Send your CV with a motivation letter to jobs@vrr.aero or the person mentioned in the vacancy ad.

Step 2
We will contact you within a few days of hearing from you. If we think you are a promising candidate, we will invite you for a preliminary interview. The person conducting that interview depends on the job opening. Naturally, we will tell you who that is.

If we see no reason for a preliminary interview? We will send you an email to let you know.

Step 3
If we think the preliminary interview went well, we will call you to ask if you feel the same way. If so, we will plan a second interview. More people are usually involved in the second interview. You will know beforehand who you are to meet and what the schedule is.

The reason for involving more people at this stage is to let you meet potential colleagues and to explore issues in more depth. It also gives the team a voice in the application procedure. It goes without saying that you and the team should be a good match. The employment conditions are also a part of this conversation.

If we do not want to invite you for a second interview? We will let you know as soon as possible why that is the case.

Step 4
If everyone, including you, is still enthusiastic after the second interview, and if your salary expectations meet our offer, you will receive a contract proposal from us. This proposal sets out the conditions of the job that we would like to offer you.

What if we do not want to offer you the job? We will call you as soon as possible to tell you why.

Step 5
If you accept our offer, we will send you a contract by e-mail, as well as the Personnel Manual and a number of forms to make the commencement of employment as smooth as possible.

Step 6
Have both you and our director signed the contract? Many congratulations and welcome to the VRR family!

We aim to complete every application procedure within 4 to 6 weeks. If, at any time, we deviate from this process or timeline, we will explain why.
