
Supply Chain Manager

Your new job
As a supply chain manager, you'll be part of our facilitating roles. You will report to the Operations Director. You think cross-departmentally, work strategically, and always see the bigger picture.
Your main job responsibilities are:
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with the company’s objectives and long term
ambition. - Monitor and communicate any forecast demand towards the supply chain and align Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP), and inventory management.
- Build sustainable and reliable relationships with suppliers and logistics service providers, aiming for long-term partnerships.
- Negotiate pricing conditions, contracts and delivery terms, taking into account sustainable options.
- Analysing and monitoring performance across the supply chain (KPI’s such as delivery reliability, inventory turnover, stock levels).
- Identify risks and opportunities in the supply chain and anticipate on this by driving strategic improvement plans (e.g. lean supply chain principles, EDI, traceability, automation).
- Collaborate and align with the teams for integrated supply chain optimization.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards throughout the supply chain.
Who are we looking for
We’re looking for an experienced professional with a proven track record and enterprising attitude.
Specifically, we’d like you to have:
- A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 6 years of experience in a similar role and preferably in an internationally B2B operating production company.
- Solid knowledge of supply chain processes, inventory management, procurement strategies and lean manufacturing.
- The ability to develop long-term supply chain strategies and execution that align with the company's overall business objectives and respond to changing market conditions.
- Ability to recognize various types of risks, including supply disruptions, demand fluctuations, financial risks, compliance issues, and natural disasters.
- An excellent commercial mindset to negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favourable terms and pricing schedules.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills in both Dutch and English.
This job is located in Rotterdam, Netherlands, so you need to be living within commuting distance or prepared to move to the area.
