The benefits of collapsible containers

Looking to reduce ULD repositioning costs and carbon emissions?

Now you can. By shrinking the size of your containers, not their capacity. Our collapsible AAX and AAY carry the same volume of cargo as a standard version of this container. It also meets exactly the same airworthiness requirements. However, when collapsed, it can be stacked in the hold, leaving substantially more floor space for your full ULDs and making a significant contribution to your sustainability goals.

What does the three letter ULD code mean?

The first letter represents the type of ULD
The second letter represents the base size of the ULD
The third letter represents the container’s contour or the pallet’s restraint system

What advantages does a container have compared to a pallet/net combination?

Containers have many advantages, including:

Easier loading and unloading of cargo into the container;
Easier loading onto and unloading off an aircraft;
Better protection against all kinds of weather;
Better protection against damage to the cargo;
Better protection against damage to the aircraft by the cargo;
Prevention of unauthorised access to the cargo.

How do I choose the perfect ULD for my operation?

If you’re unsure which ULD fits perfectly with your (cargo) fleet, you can consult our compatibility tool. It gives you an overview of all standard ULDs and aircraft types. Select one or more of the aircraft or click on the relevant ULD and you will be taken to an overview that lists all compatible aircraft or ULDs.

Are your containers weatherproof?

Yes, all ULDs are designed to be fully weatherproof to ensure the cargo arrives in perfect condition.

Can your containers be repaired easily?

Yes, the containers are designed so that parts are easy to obtain and replace.
