AS9100 revision C

Happy days..

With both pride as pleasure we can announce to have successfully passed the periodic and extensive AS9100 audit in order to maintain the quality management approval . Besides retaining our approval (since May 2005), we are now officially compliant to the latest AS9100 revision C requirements.

Meeting the revision C requirements seems quite impressive at this stage, as we are the 10th aviation company in Europe and the 84th aviation company worldwide to have met them.

The picture on the right shows LRQA's Senior Lead Assessor Mr. Christo de Vries handing over the AS9100 certificate to VRR's Quality Assurance Manager Mr Norbert van der Welle.

For those unfamiliar with AS9100, please find background information below;

AS9100 is a widely adopted and standardized quality management system for the aerospace industry. It was released in October 1999 by the Society of Automotive Engineers and the European Association of Aerospace Industries.

AS9100 replaced the earlier AS9000 and fully incorporates the entirety of the current version of ISO 9000, while adding additional requirements relating to quality and safety.

Major aerospace manufacturers and suppliers worldwide require compliance and/or registration to AS9100 as a condition of doing business with them.
